Since 1906
Scangrip has manufactured hand tools of very high quality for the
industrial and the automotive sectors. The company is owned by Anders
Borring and has its domicile in Svendborg in Denmark. Scangrip holds a
very strong position on the domestic market and has an export share
of approx. 70%.
Scangrip's
products are sold by tool importers, dealers and wholesalers
world-wide. In close co-operation with leading tool manufacturers we
design and develop special tools which are sold in private label. Among
our customers you will find companies like Volvo, Würth, Sanistål, LMG,
Atlas Copco, Hoffmann, Stahlwille, BETA, Luna, Sealey, and KUKKO.
One of the world's largest producers of coil spring compressors
Scangrip
is one of the largest and most innovative producers of coil spring
compressors (special tools for workshop repair and dismantling of
springs and struts). Scangrip
has developed a complete range of universal coil spring compressors
fitting all springs and all cars with both McPherson, multilink and/or
wishbone suspension. Scangrip's coil spring compressors are
manufactured in Denmark and undergoes very strict quality control in
accordance with the SCANGRIP SAFETY CONCEPT. Scangrip coil spring
compressors are TÜV approved to sustain even extreme loads.
Innovation and product development
Innovative special tools for the workshop
Scangrip
has developed a patented, user-friendly and very successful
calliper mounted brake disc lathe for turning brake discs on cars
and trucks. For use in the workshop Scangrip also manufactures a
patented puller for fast and easy removal of the cv
joint on front wheel cars. A range of wheel and rim handling
equipment as well as a series of measuring tools
are also a part of Scangrip's range of products for the automotive
industry. In close co-operation with the haulier business Scangrip has
developed a weighing system for trucks which ensures optimum driving
economy, maximum loading capacity and prevents overload.
Pliers, vice jaws and detection equipment for the industry
Especially
in Denmark Scangrip is known for its blue one-hand operated locking
pliers which due to their outstanding quality last a lifetime or more.
Apart from that, Scangrip is the world's largest producer of protective
jaws for vices. Scangrip also manufactures ultrasonic systems for leak
detection in for instance air pressure installations.
Continuously expanding product range
Scangrip
is a strongly expanding company and new ranges of products which
may expand, supplement and strengthen the range of tools both
for the
industry and for the automotive sector is currently being added.
The selection and the priority of new products
is carried out in very
close co-operation with our customers and in correlation with or
clever
market specialists around the world. Latest the product portfolio has
been expanded with innovative LED work lights with the brand
"STAR" which soon will form a completely new series of work lights for
professionals.
Production in Denmark - and production in China
Scangrip’s
own produced products are manufactured at our factory in Denmark. We
are therefore proud to mark our products with the quality stamp "Made
in Denmark". Supplementary to our Danish factory we established Scangrip Xuancheng Hardware Ltd.
in China in 2008 with Danish managed production in order to make sure
that also in the future we can offer our customers competitively priced
products. A very strict quality control combined with our customers'
invariable demands to high quality guarantees that also in the future
we can produce and supply products of the same high quality as Scangrip
has always been known for.

tools are known for design, innovation and considerably
user-friendliness. Due to our ability to simplification and innovation
we create unique tools which makes work easier and safer for our
